Amanda Holden stuns in a white Reiss dress, channeling Marilyn Monroe's iconic style. See her latest look at Heart FM.

Amanda Holden channeled her inner Marilyn Monroe on Tuesday morning, dazzling in a flirty white dress while at work at Heart FM. The TV and radio star, 50, looked stunning in the chic Reiss summer dress, complete with pleated detailing and a leg split. She paired the elegant dress with white strappy heels and hoop earrings, completing the glamorous look with a slick of makeup. Holden even shared a playful video clip on her Instagram Stories, twirling in the dress and striking a pose reminiscent of the iconic movie star. "It's a #marilynmonroe kinda day," she captioned the image, clearly enjoying the playful comparison.

However, the lighthearted moment comes amidst revelations about a lingering health issue the star has been dealing with for years. Holden recently opened up about the unexpected and seemingly permanent side effects she's experienced after having her wisdom teeth removed four years ago. "I can't feel anything!" she told The Mirror on Monday, describing the ongoing numbness in her face.

Holden explained that the numbness affects the left side of her bottom lip and jaw, an area she's been unable to feel since the procedure. While the NHS lists pain and mild bruising as common side effects of wisdom teeth removal, lasting up to two weeks, and mentions potential complications like dry sockets, nerve injury, infection, swelling, and bleeding, Holden's experience appears to be a less common, more persistent issue. She seems to be among the small percentage of patients (around one in 200) who experience long-term or permanent after-effects.

"I can't feel a thing from here to here," Holden reiterated to The Mirror, indicating the affected area. She revealed that scans have shown no nerve damage, leading doctors to believe the feeling might eventually return. However, with over 18 months passed since the procedure, Holden admits she's not optimistic. "The numbness is on the side with the tooth that flipped out really easily," she explained. "I've had scans of it and they showed that the nerve wasn't damaged, so they think the feeling may return. But it has been over 18 months now, so I'm not sure it will to be honest. It's bizarre but you get used to it."

Holden also discussed another health concern she manages: Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ). "I have TMJ. I don't even know what it stands for, but it's something to do with your jaw and I've got it," she said. While many people with TMJ grind their teeth, Holden's symptom manifests differently. "Most people who have it grind their teeth, but I don't. Instead I have a habit of doing a thing which means I unconsciously tense a muscle in my neck and it causes me headaches at least once a week." She described the unconscious muscle tension as a reflex, something she does automatically without even realizing it, even during massages. TMJ, often linked to stress, can cause a variety of symptoms, including jaw pain, headaches, and difficulty chewing.

Holden's recent appearances and interviews have offered glimpses into her life and personality. She recently shared her love of nude sunbathing while on holiday, admitting on Alan Carr's Life's A Beach podcast that she considers herself a "nudist." However, she clarified that her nudism is confined to private villas, emphasizing that she wouldn't engage in public nudity. "I'm a nudist. I never wear a bikini on holiday. But I wouldn't mix with other nudists. There's a difference. I'd never get my noonie out in public. In a private villa, yes," she explained.

On the same podcast, Holden also recounted a story from her childhood about financial struggles during a family holiday. She described how her mother, Judith, instructed her and her sister, Debbie, to steal cereal from the breakfast queue when they ran out of money for food. "We'd spent all our money on holiday and we came back on a ferry and my mum told me to go and nick milk and Sugar Puffs from the breakfast queue," Holden shared. "She said to me, 'Amanda if you want any breakfast you'll have to steal it'." Holden added with a laugh, "My mum will kill me for admitting this." These anecdotes, combined with her glamorous Marilyn Monroe moment and her candid discussion of her health challenges, paint a picture of a multi-faceted woman who is comfortable sharing her experiences, both the lighthearted and the more serious, with the public.
