Amanda Holden teases bold BGT outfits despite complaints
Amanda Holden Teases Boldest Britain’s Got Talent Outfits Yet Despite Ofcom Complaints.

Britain’s Got Talent is set to return for its 18th season, and fans can expect plenty of surprises. Alongside new guest judge KSI, an increased number of golden buzzers, and a change in the semi-final format, one thing remains the same—Amanda Holden’s daring fashion choices.
The veteran judge has never shied away from making a statement with her outfits, often sparking Ofcom complaints from viewers. However, that hasn’t deterred the 53-year-old star, who teased that this year’s wardrobe will be as bold as ever.
Amanda Holden: “It’s All Thigh Splits and Cleavage”
Ahead of the show’s launch, Holden revealed she hasn’t finalized her semi-final outfits yet but is actively searching for inspiration.

“I haven't even thought about my semi-finals outfits yet, but I constantly scroll through Instagram when I'm on car journeys and bombard my stylist with loads of ideas,” she said. “It’s thigh splits and cleavage!”
Holden, who received a record 663 complaints in 2017 for a particularly revealing dress, remains unapologetic about her style choices.
“I have a whole 't*t committee' in the production team that watches everything to prevent ‘accidents,’” she joked. “Hopefully, they’ll keep an eye on Bruno [Tonioli] as well because I think he shows far more than I do at the moment!”
Beyond fashion, Holden is excited to see new talent take the stage. Last season, she pressed her golden buzzer for Sydnie Christmas, who later won the competition. The two have since developed a close friendship.

“I met up with her while I was on holiday with Alan Carr in Greece and we saw each other in Los Angeles for dinner,” Holden shared. “It feels like a win on more levels than just her winning a golden buzzer. I’ve made a new friend—she’s great.”
Simon Cowell on Blackpool’s Influence and Golden Buzzers
This season marks a major shift, as all auditions were filmed in Blackpool, the entertainment capital of Britain. According to Simon Cowell, the audience played a crucial role in influencing the judges’ decisions.
“They were completely wild!” Cowell said. “When we say the audience are the fifth judge, those crowds proved it—that’s why we have so many golden buzzers this series. It’s all down to them and how loud they were.”
The 65-year-old mogul also reflected on a humorous moment during filming.
“At one point, this lady called me an ‘old fart,’” he laughed. “I thought it was one of the funniest things, so I repeated it because it made me laugh so much. And then afterwards, she was asking for a picture with me!”

Cowell also welcomed guest judge KSI, who stepped in while Bruno Tonioli was unavailable.
“KSI is a different kind of entertainer, and I have a lot of respect for what he’s done,” Cowell said. “He completely embraced the experience. Within 20 minutes, he said, ‘Wow, I had no idea it was this intense!’”
Alesha Dixon: “It’s a Family Affair”
Alesha Dixon believes Blackpool brought fresh energy to the show, describing it as a circus-like atmosphere. However, the long filming days meant little time for socializing.
“Some people would go down to the bar, but I actually spent a bit of time playing Ludo with my lovely sister, who works with me, and my hair-and-makeup team,” Dixon shared.
The 46-year-old singer, who has been a judge for 13 seasons, also spoke about the close bond among the panel.
“Whenever [my daughter] Azura comes and watches, she feels like she’s having a playdate because she has a great time with [Amanda’s daughter] Hollie and [Simon’s son] Eric. It’s a family affair, and that’s what makes it so special.”

Bruno Tonioli: “BGT is a Celebration of Variety”
Bruno Tonioli, now in his third year as a judge, is still amazed by the show’s unpredictability.
“It goes from the amazing to the grotesque and everything in between,” he laughed. “We are just like: ‘What is this?’ You’re in tears, and then there’s a moment when you’re crying with laughter. That’s the beauty of the show.”
Tonioli, who turns 70 in November, insists age is just a number.
“I don’t define myself by a number. You should define yourself by your passion, what you want to do, by your interests.”
The Italian judge also addressed the recent wildfires in Los Angeles, where he resides during his time on Dancing With The Stars.
“I called all my friends in LA as soon as I finished the auditions in Blackpool. Fortunately, they are okay, but a few had to go to Palm Springs because of the smoke. My house is okay, but it’s devastating—it just makes you cry.”
What to Expect from BGT’s 18th Season
With new additions and major format changes, Britain’s Got Talent is set to keep audiences entertained. For the first time, the live semi-finals will be aired weekly on Saturday nights instead of consecutive weekdays.
As always, the show will bring a mix of jaw-dropping talent, emotional performances, and unforgettable moments. And, of course, Amanda Holden’s headline-making outfits will be front and center.
Britain’s Got Talent returns soon, promising another season of thrills, surprises, and controversy. Stay tuned!
