The 44-year-old chose a gorgeous silky gown which flattered her enviable physique.

The midnight blue sleeveless number was cut daringly-low to show off the judge's ample cleavage, and delicate silk straps drew the eye to Amanda's assets.

Cinched in at the waist with a slim black belt, the dress also displayed the presenter's long toned legs thanks to a thigh-high split at the front and long flowing train.

Beaming for the crowd as she strutted on stage, Amanda wore her luscious blonde locks in soft waves, with an intricate fishtail plait gently woven into the curls.

Her camera-ready make-up look was glamorous with a smokey eye to complement the dark hue of her dress and a glossy pink lip to plump up her pout.

The TV personality added height to her petite 5'3" frame with a dainty pair of black strappy stilettos.

Amanda's fellow talent expert Alesha Dixon also dressed up for the momentous occasion.

The 36-year-old singer opted for a bondage-inspired PVC dress with a buckled bodice and skintight skirt.

She scraped her brunette tresses into a slick high ponytail and wore a slim gold choker necklace in keeping with the tough, kinky aesthetic.

Along with Simon Cowell, 55, and David Walliams, 43, the panel have whittled down hundreds of weird and wonderful acts from around the country to the lucky 45 semi-finalists.

The live show also saw one of the acts break a Guinness World Record.

Mitch and his Jack Russell Cally the Wonderdog challenged the title-holder for the number of balloons popped by a dog in 60 seconds – and managed to beat it with 42.

"We witnessed history tonight," David said. "It’s strangely quite compelling to watch a dog burst balloons."

"That was so exciting. It’s why I love this show for moments like that. Cally you are a legend," added Alesha.

Amanda commented: "That was barking mad, as David said we are part of television history tonight."
