Gwyneth had previously expressed feeling hurt by criticism of the dress. The actress shared the moment on Instagram, while she and her husband enjoy a vacation in Italy.

Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter, Apple, made heads turn as she slipped into her mother's renowned 2002 gothic Alexander McQueen Oscars gown. The 18-year-old college student, daughter of the actress and Coldplay singer Chris Martin, looked absolutely stunning.

The breathtaking snapshot was shared by Gwyneth on her Instagram Stories in response to a fan's question about whether Apple ever wears any of her mother's fashion archives. Apple elegantly showcased herself in the sheer black gown, which Gwyneth had originally donned on the red carpet. Notably, Gwyneth had previously expressed being "hurt" by the criticism the dress had received.

In an interview with Vogue, Gwyneth disclosed, "Everybody really hated this [dress]... but I think it's kind of dope. I'm into it." Despite facing widespread criticism in 2002, with the look being labeled "unflattering" and a "fashion disaster," Gwyneth stood by her choice. She confessed to having a lingering discomfort due to the negative reception at the time but emphasized her personal admiration for the outfit.

While Gwyneth enjoys a well-deserved break, currently vacationing in Italy with her husband Brad Falchuk, her daughter Apple found herself in an uncomfortable position recently. During Gwyneth's appearance on Alex Cooper's Call Your Daddy podcast, the actress revealed intimate details about her sex life, including comparisons between ex-partners Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck.

Apple's reaction to her mother's explicit revelations was captured in a video shared on the Call Her Daddy Instagram page. Clearly taken aback, the 18-year-old can be seen covering her ears while displaying a look of shock. Apple, dressed in a white Rolling Stones hoodie and jeans, awkwardly laughed before the camera shifted focus to Gwyneth.

Gwyneth shares Apple and her 17-year-old son Moses Martin with her former husband Chris Martin, to whom she was married from 2003 to 2014. During the podcast interview, Gwyneth was probed by Alex about her past relationships with Brad and Ben, leading her to divulge various secrets, including her assessment of their sexual performances.

Acknowledging the difficulty of comparing the two, Gwyneth shared, "'That's really hard because Brad was like the major chemistry love of [my] life at the time. And then Ben was, like, technically excellent." She expressed her surprise and discomfort with her daughter listening to such personal revelations.

In addition to discussing her romantic experiences, Gwyneth answered a series of other comparison questions, including preferences in acting, style, and sense of humor. The actress shared her admiration for Brad's versatility as an actor but couldn't decide who was a better kisser between the two.

Gwyneth's open and candid nature has become synonymous with her lifestyle brand, Goop, since its launch in 2008. The actress-turned-entrepreneur has embraced a role as an over-sharer, openly discussing various topics ranging from her favorite sex toys to personal tips on self-pleasure on her website.

As Apple steps into the spotlight, trying on her mother's iconic gown, and Gwyneth continues to make headlines with her unabashed revelations, the Paltrow-Martin family remains a subject of fascination for fans and onlookers alike.
