Jennifer Lawrence reveals her eagerness to portray Katniss Everdeen once again in potential new 'Hunger Games' movies. Lawrence discusses her interest in reprising the iconic role during a Zoom interview while promoting her upcoming comedy film, "No Hard Feelings."

In a recent interview, Jennifer Lawrence, the Academy Award-winning actress, expressed her enthusiasm for returning to the "Hunger Games" franchise and reprising her role as the beloved character Katniss Everdeen. Known for her outstanding performance in the four "Hunger Games" movies, Lawrence revealed her openness to the possibility of bringing Katniss back to life.

During a Zoom video interview while promoting her upcoming R-rated comedy film, "No Hard Feelings," Lawrence enthusiastically stated, "Oh, my God – totally! If Katniss ever could ever come back into my life, 100 percent." She further shared her excitement with her producing partner, who reacted by clutching her heart off-camera.

The "Hunger Games" series, consisting of four installments, featured a star-studded cast including Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Stanley Tucci, Elizabeth Banks, Donald Sutherland, and Woody Harrelson. The first movie, released in 2012, was directed by Gary Ross, while the following three were helmed by Francis Lawrence.

While Lawrence's willingness to return to the franchise brings excitement to fans, an upcoming prequel movie titled "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" is already in the works. This prequel stars Viola Davis, Rachel Zegler, Tom Blyth, Peter Dinklage, Jason Schwartzman, and Hunter Schafer and focuses on the rise to power of Coriolanus Snow, who eventually becomes the President of Panem. The release date for the prequel is set for November 17.

Aside from discussing her potential return to "The Hunger Games," Lawrence also shared insights about her new film, "No Hard Feelings." Directed by Gene Stupnitsky, known for his work on "Good Boys," the raunchy comedy follows Lawrence's character, a 32-year-old Uber driver hired by a wealthy couple (played by Matthew Broderick and Laura Benanti) to date and seduce their introverted 19-year-old son (Andrew Barth Feldman) before he heads off to college.

During the interview, Lawrence engaged in a light-hearted exchange with Feldman, who expressed his admiration for her role in "The Hunger Games." Lawrence playfully remarked that Feldman was probably not even born when the first movie released, to which he replied that he was around 10 years old at the time and became a fan of the franchise. Lawrence jokingly responded, "I can't believe you could read when you were 10."

Fans of Jennifer Lawrence and the "Hunger Games" series eagerly anticipate the possibility of her return to the iconic role of Katniss Everdeen. In the meantime, audiences can look forward to Lawrence's upcoming comedy, "No Hard Feelings," set to hit theaters on June 23.
