Leonardo DiCaprio's ex Camila Morrone reveals how she recently 'narrowed' the group of people she 'really loves and trusts'
And the model-turned actress, 25, tells the new issue of InStyle Australia that despite her success, she isn't competitive and considers herself 'a girls' girl'.
'I have a lot of girlfriends. I think that this industry is so complicated and so hard and so competitive that we might as well look out for each other and support and uplift each other,' she tells the magazine.
'I'm more excited than my friends are for themselves, and I don't want any friends in my life who don't have that same kind of energy towards me.'
Camila went on to explain that she felt isolated as a homeschooled teenager but has since built up a trusted posse of good pals.
'As a younger woman, I felt very excluded. Just now, in my middle twenties I've finally got a narrowed group of people who I really love and trust,' she said.
In the stunning photoshoot accompanying the interview, the brunette beauty works her angles in a series of high fashion looks.
Camila plays a woman overshadowed by her husband's stardom in Daisy Jones & The Six, said she 'tapped into moments' from her real life' to play the role.
The beauty, who split from actor Leonardo DiCaprio, 48, seven months ago, recently revealed she is 'just starting to feel like a woman' after turning 25.
Speaking to The Cut and appearing to reference the painful end of her five-year romance, she said: 'I've never learned so much as being 25 years old.'
She continued: 'I am just starting to feel like a woman. But I also feel little in a lot of senses.'
'With any character that I play, I try to bring what I know from my real life. That's the main thing that I learned in acting class, how to tap into moments in your life that were impactful.'
The star, whose character in Daisy is also called Camilla, said: 'So I don't think it's any different for Camilla, I just tapped into what I knew. I do see her as incredibly independent, despite Billy being a rock star.'
Daisy Jones & The Six, which is set to premiere on Amazon Prime on March 3, which follows a fictional 1970s rock band that splits at the height of its fame.
The series stars Riley Keough in the title role, the head of a fictional 1970s-era rock band, and Sam Claflin and fellow model-turned-actress Suki Waterhouse round out the principal cast. Camila plays the wife of Claflin's character Billy Dunne.
The series is inspired by the best-selling novel of the same name by Taylor Jenkins Reid.
In 2018, Leo fell hard for model Camila. At the start of their relationship, Leonardo was 43, while Camila was just 20.
However, the age gap did not appear to be an issue - and for a while it seemed as though Leo had finally found the woman of his dreams.
Then, just one month after Camila turned 25, the pair's fairytale romance came to an end.
After his five-year relationship with Morrone ended, Leo finally broke his 'under 25' pattern when he started seeing supermodel Gigi Hadid, who is 27 – two years too old for the A-list actor.
But their widely publicised fling ended a few months later, in December 2022. Although it did not workout, the source says that they are 'still friends.'
