Louise Redknapp Glows with Boyfriend After Marriage Talk
Louise Redknapp Glows with Joy as Boyfriend Drew Michael Carries Her Bags Outside ITV Studios—Opens Up About Love, Age Gap, and New Music.

Louise Redknapp, the celebrated British singer and television personality, was all smiles on Sunday as she exited ITV Studios hand-in-hand with her boyfriend, Drew Michael. The 50-year-old star, known for her powerful vocals and empowering journey through fame, love, and personal reinvention, appeared joyful and relaxed as the couple strolled out following her appearance on Sunday Brunch with Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer.
Sporting a casual yet stylish look, Louise wore a navy varsity jacket layered over a white top, paired with light-wash jeans and brown suede loafers. Her accessories—a pair of silver hoop earrings and black sunglasses—completed the effortlessly chic ensemble. Drew, 41, looked equally casual and cool in a black open shirt over a white tee and faded jeans. Demonstrating his chivalrous side, he was seen carrying Louise’s bags and jacket as they made their way out of the studio together.

Their public appearance comes just weeks after Louise opened up about her blossoming relationship with Drew, which began in October 2023, and addressed rumors of wedding bells in a heartfelt new interview. Despite speculation about an engagement, Louise made it clear that while she's happy, she's in no rush to head down the aisle again.
"Drew’s great. We’re having a lovely time together. It took me a long time to get to that place and be open about anything. I was very guarded and scared," Louise told The Sun in an exclusive interview promoting her upcoming album Confessions. "But I’m really enjoying having special times with someone. He’s a great guy and super-kind."

When asked if she’s considering marriage in the near future, she replied, “Oh, I’m not even thinking that far ahead. I just want to be proud of this and I want to really enjoy it. I’ve met a really great guy and I’m really happy. But you never know what the future holds.”

Louise’s journey to finding love again hasn’t been without its challenges. Her highly publicized divorce from former footballer Jamie Redknapp in 2017, after 19 years of marriage, brought a tidal wave of media scrutiny. The couple share two sons—Charlie, 20, and William, 16—both of whom, according to Louise, have embraced her new partner warmly.
“My boys really get on with Drew. That makes everything so much easier. I’m grateful for that,” she noted.
However, the age gap between her and Drew—nine years—has not gone unnoticed by critics. Louise, unfazed by the attention, addressed the ‘cougar’ label with grace and confidence.
“Being branded a ‘cougar’ is water off a duck’s back to me. Age is irrelevant. I don’t feel older than him,” she said. “I’ve learned to block out the noise.”
In a candid interview with The Independent, Louise opened up about how the media painted her as a “villain” after her divorce, adding that the criticism she received was relentless and deeply painful.
“I was the villain. I’d been lucky in my career because for many years I didn’t really have a lot of scrutiny. Then bang, everybody’s got an opinion,” she said. “Nothing I said was right. To defend myself was wrong. To not defend myself was wrong. I felt like I was walking up a one-way street with just nowhere to go on it.”
The emotional toll of the divorce and subsequent backlash was intense, but Louise credits her two sons for keeping her grounded during the most challenging periods.
“If I didn’t have my kids, I think I would’ve just given up,” she said during an appearance on the Happy Place podcast. “They needed me. I had to stay strong for them.”
Louise has since embraced a new chapter in her life, one marked by creative evolution and personal freedom. Her upcoming album Confessions promises a bold, experimental sound, veering away from nostalgia and embracing risk. One track, in particular, “Get Into It,” has already sparked conversations due to its inclusion of sensual vocal elements.
“I got a text from [co-writer] Jon Shave asking, ‘Are there too many sex noises on this?’” she laughed. “And I was like, ‘Jon, there can never be too many sex noises!’”
She explained that the decision to push boundaries musically was a deliberate one, adding, “I’ve always kept in my lane, done what people expected. Now I’m saying, ‘f** it!’ I want to make progressive music that reflects where I am today.”*
The shift also reflects a newfound sense of self and empowerment. Louise is no longer trying to appease everyone—she’s making music and life decisions that align with her truth.

Meanwhile, her ex-husband Jamie Redknapp has moved on with Swedish model Frida Andersson, whom he married in 2021. The couple also welcomed a son shortly after their wedding. Despite the changes in their personal lives, Louise has chosen to focus on the positive, building a life rooted in authenticity, self-worth, and love.
With her career back in full swing, a supportive partner by her side, and a new album set to redefine her sound, Louise Redknapp is living proof that it’s never too late to find happiness again. Whether or not a second walk down the aisle is in her future, Louise is clearly relishing the journey—and doing it on her own terms.
