Abbey Clancy Reveals Parenting Struggles with Peter Crouch
Abbey Clancy Opens Up About ‘Chaotic’ Family Life and Peter Crouch’s Parenting Style.

Abbey Clancy has provided a candid glimpse into her family life, revealing the challenges and joys of parenting alongside her husband, former footballer Peter Crouch. The 39-year-old model, who shares four children with Peter—Sophia Ruby, 13, Liberty Rose, 9, Johnny, 6, and Jack, 5—admitted that their household is far from calm but wouldn’t have it any other way.
Peter Crouch’s ‘Annoying’ Parenting Habit
In an interview with OK! Magazine, Abbey humorously shared that she and Peter take on opposite roles when it comes to parenting, describing herself as the “bad cop” while Peter enjoys playing the “good cop.”
“Pete’s good cop and I’m bad cop,” Abbey explained. “I’m the one going, ‘Do your homework, eat your veg,’ and Pete’s like, ‘Let’s play, kids!’ which can be annoying but… it works.”
Despite Peter’s playful approach sometimes frustrating her, Abbey acknowledged that their four children are well-behaved and adaptable.
“Our kids are very good, though. They’ve all got distinct personalities but they’re all easy-going,” she added. “That’s not to say family life isn’t chaotic – it’s chaotic! There’s absolutely nothing chilled about it, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Keeping the Spark Alive After 14 Years of Marriage
Abbey and Peter, who have been married since 2011, also co-host The Therapy Crouch podcast, where they openly discuss their relationship and family life. When asked about their dynamic after 14 years together, Abbey revealed that despite spending most of their time in each other’s company, she never feels the need for “space.”
“I don't need 'space' from Peter – unless I'm ill, like I am at the minute,” she admitted. “Because he's a c**p nurse and I want him to go away! He's useless then.”
The couple’s chemistry and humor have made them fan favorites, particularly because of Abbey’s willingness to be open about even the most personal aspects of their relationship.
During their podcast, Abbey often shares intimate details, including their bedroom life, which has at times left her feeling slightly nervous about oversharing.
“But you know what? It's important for us to be authentic… to be real,” she said, emphasizing the importance of honesty in their marriage and public personas.
Banning iPads and Phones for a More Connected Family
The couple also discussed the parenting rules they’ve put in place to ensure quality family time, including banning iPads and mobile phones, particularly around the holiday season.
