'No shame': Emma Stone had 'no shame' with her body while filming raunchy scenes in the upcoming sci-fi dark comedy titled, Poor Things; seen in May in Italy

Director Yorgos Lanthimos expressed his gratitude for Emma Stone's dedication to her character and the film's intimate sequences. Speaking at the Venice Film Festival, where "Poor Things" premiered at the Sala Darsena cinema, Lanthimos noted the importance of portraying sexuality authentically in the film.

"It's a shame that Emma could not be here to speak more about it, because it will all be coming from me. First of all, sex is an intrinsic part of the novel itself, her freedom about everything including sexuality," Yorgos explained. He continued, "Secondly, it was very important for me to not make a film that would be prudish because that would be like completely betraying the main character."

"Poor Things," which began development in 2009, awaits an official rating but promises to be a thought-provoking and entertaining addition to Emma Stone's filmography. The cast also includes William Dafoe, Mark Ruffalo, Ramy Youssef, Margaret Qualley, Jerrod Carmichael, and Christopher Abbott.
