The Tennessee-born 30-year-old singer and song writer, who boasts 311.7M social media followers, shared  two stills from the music video directed by Jacob Bixenman, who previously helmed her video for Flowers.

In the images, Miley (born Destiny) rocks a black halter mini-dress and stiletto heels selected by stylist Bradley Kenneth.

Hairstylist Bob Recine coiffed Cyrus' Debbie Harry-style two-tone hair and make-up artist Sam Visser brought out her natural beauty for the shoot.

In the second teaser, the goddaughter of Dolly Parton sang: 'I feel you everywhere / your face is all in my hair / covered up in your sweat / it turns me on that you care, baby.'

'Sometimes we just need a dance floor banger aka they don't want me to talk about how the fact the song is about [censored]. It's f***ing nasty. It's nasty,' Miley said of River.

'River, it was a time in my life where I was going through, like, a lot emotionally and personally. And I guess all my songs kind of evolve. They start as something that was a trouble, like it just feels like an April shower. It never stops raining and then it started raining down, like, love.'

The seventh track off the record was produced by Kid Harpoon and Tyler Johnson and it was co-written by Cyrus, Johnson, Justin Tranter, and Thomas Hull.

The pansexual pop star's entire 13-track eighth studio album Endless Summer Vacation will also be released on Thursday at 9pm PST.

Miley' accompanying concert special endless summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions), directed by Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter, premieres Friday at 10am PST on Disney+.

Cyrus was joined by two-time Grammy nominee Rufus Wainwright for Backyard Sessions, but her new album features Brandi Carlile and Sia.

Meanwhile, the former Disney Channel star's first single Flowers has spent the past six weeks on the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and this week it topped Billboard's Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart as well.
