Outlander: Blood of My Blood Introduces Young Murtagh, MacKenzie Brothers, & Ned Gowan.

The Starz prequel series "Outlander: Blood of My Blood" continues to expand its cast, welcoming four new actors into the fold to portray iconic characters within the Fraser and MacKenzie clans.

Rory Alexander, known for his role in "Inland," steps into the shoes of a young Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser, a character originally brought to life by Duncan LaCroix. Meanwhile, Sam Retford ("The Bolelyns: A Scandalous Family") embodies the headstrong Dougal MacKenzie, with Séamus McLean Ross ("Payback") portraying his shrewd older brother Colum MacKenzie. Conor MacNeill ("Industry") takes on the role of the wise and faithful advisor, young Ned Gowan, previously played by Bill Paterson.

These new additions join an ensemble that includes previously confirmed cast members Jeremy Irvine, Hermione Corfield, Jamie Roy, Harriet Slater, and Tony Curran.

"Blood of My Blood" delves into the intricate lives and relationships of key figures from the "Outlander" universe, focusing on Jamie's parents, Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy), as well as Claire's parents, Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine). Set across two distinct time periods—the early 18th century Scottish Highlands and World War I England—the 10-episode series explores parallel love stories that unfold amidst historical turmoil.

Showrunner and executive producer Matthew B. Roberts expresses excitement about expanding the cast and exploring the formative years of beloved characters. He remarks, "We are thrilled to expand our season one cast with some well-known characters from the ‘Outlander’ universe. We’re so excited to welcome Rory, Sam, Séamus, and Conor to the MacKenzie and Fraser clans and to explore the young journeys of these fan-favorite characters."

As "Outlander" gears up to celebrate its 10th anniversary this summer, fans can anticipate the back eight episodes of its seventh season airing later this year. Furthermore, the series has been renewed for an eighth season consisting of 10 episodes, slated to commence production in Scotland shortly. With each new installment, "Outlander" continues to captivate audiences with its rich storytelling and compelling characters, solidifying its place as a beloved television phenomenon.
