Speaking with Extra, the two-time Oscar nominee described her experience on set as brief but deeply enjoyable: “It was so great because I got to dip in for a short period of time, reunite with some friends, meet new castmates, and get into Wes' world... In a recent Vanity Fair interview, Johansson acknowledged the “weird timing” of working with Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios CEO Jamey Heath, both of whom are currently embroiled in a legal dispute involving Johansson’s ex-husband Ryan Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively. Reynolds and Johansson were married from 2008 until their divorce in 2011, shortly after Reynolds met Lively on the set of Green Lantern.
Despite the controversy, Johansson continues to thrive professionally. Later this year, she will star in My Mother’s Wedding, directed by Kristin Scott Thomas, portraying Royal Navy captain Katherine. Newcomer Mia Threapleton, daughter of Kate Winslet, wore an elegant olive-green strapless gown. She was spotted chatting with Mad Men star Jon Hamm and his wife Anna Osceola, who co-star in the Apple TV+ series Your Friends & Neighbors and are approaching their second wedding anniversary.
